The FurnCIRCLE project has officially released the "Handbook for Facilitating the Circular Economy Transition in the EU Furniture Industry", marking a major step forward in supporting the European furniture sector’s transition toward circularity. Available in 10 EU languages, the handbook is the result of a collaborative effort led by AMBIT, FLA, and EFIC, with technical support from Nutcreatives. Its development involved a broad consortium of FurnCIRCLE partners—including industry associations, research centres, and innovation-driven organisations—who worked closely with external experts to create a strategic and practical tool for the sector.
The Final Conference of the FurnCIRCLE project took place on 12 June 2025 in Udine, Italy, in the framework of the EFIC Furniture Days 2025 — an event that brought together representatives from across the European furniture industry to exchange on market trends, sustainability priorities, and geopolitical challenges facing the sector.
The newly released report D5.2, Recommendations for Furniture Sector Stakeholders, presents ten strategic recommendations to drive systemic change across the sector. Developed within the FurnCIRCLE project, the report addresses critical cultural, financial, and technical barriers impeding circular economy (CE) adoption.
