FurnCIRCLE was the star of FederlegnoArredo's corporate communication during the latest edition of Ecomondo, the leading trade fair on sustainability and the circular economy for industry, which took place in Rimini (Italy) from 4 to 8 November 2024.
At the heart of the sustainability narrative were the results of the survey, in which over 100 European companies participated. The results were transformed into an infographic that filled the main wall of the FLA stand, attracting the attention of journalists, operators and institutional visitors for all four days of the event.
The sustainable evolution of European furniture companies - with a special focus on the results of Italian respondents - was also at the centre of the press release issued by the federation at the beginning of the fair, accompanied by a reflection by its president Claudio Feltrin “Awareness, objectives and actions. These are the concepts that best summarise the path of our supply chain on circular economy issues and that the data collected by the survey highlight. Always sensitive to the issues of sustainable development and often anticipating processes, the wood-furniture industry aspires to perform at its best. To do so, it starts with a self-analysis as the basis for future concrete actions”.
The results were summarised by Omar Degoli, environmental manager of FLA, during a conference dedicated to the evolution of ESPR in Europe “Ecodesign Regulation: supply chains to the test of circularity” and in several interviews with media operators. About 10 newspapers picked up the press release, ensuring wide visibility for the project and its results.
